Abstract
This study aims to explain and analyzing studies related to technology selection in space industry. The second goal is to understand the current status of research area through scientometric maps such as keyword occurrence analysis, author co-citation analysis, etc. For this purpose, the popular and practical VOS viewer software has been used. In the following, based on the analysis of the previous steps, future paths are discovered with the aim of space technology selection. The "scientometric" approach, means revealing a visual representation of the knowledge structure in the target field. It also focuses on conceptual relationships analysis in scientific documents published in research databases. Basically, this method is used to explain the status of a specific scientific concept and other key elements related to it. In this research, scientific-research documents related to the topic of technology selection in the space industry that have been indexed in the scientific and reputable scopus database until 2024 have been examined. The total number of documents is 145, published by 40 countries. In this study, the results of the analysis are presented with the focus on identifying the most active authors, countries, affiliations, sponsors and other relevant parameters. The present study is unique to provide an overview of technology status in the space industry, along with data charts and graphic diagrams analyses, without considering specific geographical or time constraints. This paper also tries to present a scientific procedure for achieving technology selection in the space industry, so that researchers, organizations and even countries can find their positions for investment, development and participation in a comprehensive manner
